India being a subcontinent consists of five major geographical features such as mountains in the north, the great plains in the center, great desert in the west, a hill in the east, and Deccan plateau in the south. Which is followed by western and eastern ghats. The peninsular plateau is a flat and highland which consists of volcanic formations of Deccan traps.
