What happens to the oxygen that is produced as a result of photosynethesis

Humans breathe in Oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, but plants breathe in Carbon Dioxide and exhale Oxygen. It's basically like we are trading. Plants give us Oxygen and we give plants Carbon Dioxide.
