Multiplication is basically Factor1 x Factor2=Product

We are given the product and Factor 1, so we have to solve for Factor 2

Let’s assume Factor 2 is X

We can do X(y+1)=6y^2+11y+5
Divide both sides by y+1
X=6y+5
So the missing Factor is 6y+5

P.S. I think I made this too complicated. All you have to do I divide both sides by y+1
