1. Warmth from the ocean heats the air above. 2. The rising warm air evaporates. 3. Winds that are coming together force the air upward. 4. Wind flows outward above the storm, allowing air below to rise up. 5. The humid air that is rising makes the clouds of the storm. 6. Winds outside of the storm steer it. It also lets the storm grow. The low pressure sucks in air and causes strong winds.
