Mitochondria are a cell's powerhouse. Which of these cells would need a large number of mitochondria to function and survive?

The cells that would need a large number of mitochondria to function and survive are the eukaryotes. They need this in order for protein to be consumed and converted to energy. Unlike prokaryotes where they do not need mitochondria because they do not have organelles.
