Answer: [tex]3.33J/g^oC[/tex]

Explanation:

[tex]Q= m\times c\times \Delta T[/tex]

Q= heat gained  = 550 J

m = mass of the substance = 6.0 g

c = heat capacity of  iron = ?

[tex]\Delta T={\text{Change in temperature}}=(45-20)^oC=25^0C[/tex]

[tex]500J=6.0g\times c\times 25^oC[/tex]

[tex]c= 3.33J/g^oC[/tex]

Thus specific heat of the glass sample is [tex]3.33J/g^oC[/tex]
