Nuclear fusion:

in this nuclear reaction two or more atoms of same of different elements combine to form atom of new element.

Here in the third image (as mentioned in the figure) two atoms are combining to from a new element with elimination of a small nuclear particle (like neutron or energy particle) .

Hence in image nuclear fusion is taking place.
