Jump discontinuities - No defined limit; the left-handed and right-handed limits will be different, converging at two different finite values

Removable - The limit at this point is defined; the left and right-hand limits both converge on the same value

Asymptotic - The left-and-right-handed limits at this point will either tend to ∞ or -∞
