Graph them when intersecting.

Algebraically:

x^2 + 1 = -x^2 + 9

Add x^2 on both sides and subtract 1 on both sides.

2x^2 = 8

Divide 2 on both sides

x^2 = 4

Square root on both sides

|x| = 2

Remove abs value by putting + or - on the other side

x = {-2,2}
