Inversion and eversion, both are known as the movements that are present at the ankle joint and tilt the sole of the foot towards and away from the midline of the body.

Inversion: It is defined as the movement of sole towards the median plane and the sole of the foot faces in a medial direction.

Eversion: It is defined as the movement of the sole of the foot away from the median plane and the sole faces in a lateral direction.
