Ottoman Empire had a policy and that policy was to tolerate other peoples religion, thoughts and opininons that lived in Ottoman Empire. When the sultan conquered Istanbul he didint burn down any houses and didnt force people to convert to Islam. There was tolerance, peace, compromise through out the nation.
