The Ancient Egyptians lived around the Nile River. Most of them lived near the Nile River Delta, where it feeds into the Mediterranean. The main method they used was irrigation, in which they dug man-made canals for the water to travel down, to reach their crops. This helped them sustain their diet, even in the extreme heat of the Sahara Desert.
