Evaporation – Evaporation happens when heat from the Sun turns liquid water into water vapor (gas). About 90% of the water in the atmosphere comes from evaporation. Most evaporation occurs in the oceans, because they cover so much of Earth's surface. The sweat evaporates into the air.
