1) (3 x 2) + 3 = 9

I got that by thinking of it is there more than twice a number is nine. To get that you could get 9 and take away 3 which is 6. Half that to then get 3. Then you have 3 times 2 or 3 + 3. Which is six, so it would look like this: 3 x 2 = 6. That is simple at the moment. Then, do 6 + 3 which is 9. Then it would become 3 x 2 + 3 = 9. But don't forget to add brackets, which would mean it should look like this: (3 x 2) + 3 = 9

I hope this helps with question 1!
