When the Song emperor forbid trades with the provinces of Vietnam. So After getting the news, the Ly sent an attack with about 100,000 troops against the Song. So song formed an alliance with the Champa and the Khmer to launch an attack on Vietnam. Failing, the ly conquered the Champa and the Khmer empire.
