Step-by-step explanation:

Since f(x) is "2x + 1" and g(x) is "x2 - 7" then f(x) + g(x) [which is the same as (f + g)(x)] is "2x + 1" + "x2 - 7" which is 2x + 1 + x2 - 7 or x2 + 2x - 6

So (f + g)(x) = x2 + 2x - 6

is it right? i hope it is
