Plug in for y the first equation, to get 3(2x-4)=2x, 6x-12=2x, subtract 2x from both sides and get 4x-12=0, add 12 to both sides to get 4x=12, divide both sides by 4 to get x=3 and plug that into the first equation to get y=2(3)-4, y=6-4=2 so x=3 and y=2
