It takes about one month for the Moon to orbit Earth (27.3 days to complete a revolution, but 29.5 days to change from New Moon to New Moon). so both are around a month but are not the same,The moon orbits the Earth once every 27.322 days(revolution),It also takes approximately 27 days for the moon to rotate once on its axis(rotation).
