5(1 + x) = 5x+5 someone who can help me with this

Look at the left side of the equation first. You will multiply both 1 and x with 5, since 5 is infront of the brackets. 5*1 you get 5, and 5*x you get 5x. Therefore, 5(1+x) = 5+5x
