Solve the equation for y.1/3 x + y = 4

In order to solve the equation for y, we just need to isolate the variable y in one side of the equation. So we have:

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{1}{3}x+y=4 \\ y=4-\frac{1}{3}x \end{gathered}[/tex]

So the answer is y = 4 - 1/3 x
