start by writing in the form

[tex]y=mx+b[/tex]

where you already have the slope and you must find b, which is the y-intercept

[tex]y=\frac{3}{5}x+b[/tex]

use the point given (-5,-3) to find b

[tex]\begin{gathered} -3=\frac{3}{5}(-5)+b \\ -3=-3+b \\ -3+3=b \\ b=0 \end{gathered}[/tex]
