The equation can be written as

[tex](x-7)^2=3[/tex]

taking the square root of both sides gives

[tex]x-7=\pm\sqrt[]{3}[/tex]

Adding 7 to both sides gives

[tex]x=\pm\sqrt[]{3}+7.[/tex]

which is the solution to our equation.
