Given a quadratic function:

[tex]f(x)=ax^2+bx+c[/tex]

the first step to begin graphing the function, is finding the vertex of the parabolla using the following expression:

[tex]vertex\colon(-\frac{b}{2a},f(-\frac{b}{2a}))[/tex]

after locating the vertex, we can proceed to graph the function
