slope between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

given
(8,10) and (1,5)
(x,y)
x1=8
y1=10
x2=1
y2=5

slope=(10-5)/(8-1)=5/7


slope=5/7
