In “The First Seven Years” by Bernard Malamud, is the climax of the story also an epiphany for Feld because Fled confronted with Sobel and told him everything. During this conversation, Fled realized that Sobel wanted wrong things for Miriam, and he was working fro Fled for five years because he was in love with Miriam.
