-2(-1)-5y=-13
2-5y=-13
Subtract 2 to each side
2-5y-2=-13-2
-5y=-15
Divided -5 to each side
-5y/-5=-15/-5
y=3
Check:
-2(-1)-5y=-13
Substitute y with 3
-2(-1)-5(3)=-13
2-15=-13
-13=-13, so y=3. Hope it help!
