1 m = 100 cm

1 cm = [tex] \frac{1}{100} [/tex] m

1 cm² = [tex] ( \frac{1}{100} )^{2} = \frac{1}{10000} [/tex] m²

5 cm² = [tex] \frac{1}{10000} * 5 = \frac{5}{10000} = 0.0005[/tex] m²

Hence, 5 cm² is 0.0005 m².
