answer: 7/6 inches

Find the common denominator of both measurements
1/3 = 4/12 inch
1/4= 3/12 inch

There are 2 sides equaling 1/3 inch and 2 sides equaling 1/4 inch. Add these values:
4/12 + 4/12 + 3/12 + 3/12
Adding the numerators and keeping the denominator the same gives you 14/12! simplifying this by diving by 2/2 gives you 7/6

hope this helps!
