Help!! what is -2r-1= -11

-2r - 1 = -11

So here you want to group all like terms onto either side.

So you can first do this by getting rid of the -1 by adding 1 instead.

-2r -1 + 1 = -11 + 1

-2r = -10

And then now you can just divide both sides by -2.

-2r = -10

/-2    /-2

r = 5
