I believe that the Virginia Plan and New Jersey Plan are alike because they both favored three branches of government.
Both of these documents were rather important when it comes to the creation of the American nation and its democracy because they were both fighting for checks and balances, as well as the introduction of the three branches: the executive, the legislative, and the judicial branch.
