Energy is a property that is capable of causing changes in a matter, it is measured in joules. Chemical energy is the energy derived from the chemical bonding between atoms. In this case, petroleum and biomass have energy stored in form of chemical energy. Energy can be stored and can never be destroyed or created but is transformed from one form to another.
