King Arthur did not trust Mordred because Mordred betrayed King Arthur’s trust when Mordred tried to marry Guinevere and rebelled against him. King Arthur did have trust on Mordred once and even made Mordred the acting monarch of Britain when King Arthur went to Gaul to declare war against Lancelot without knowing that Mordred has his own evil intentions.
