(x+3)/3 = (y+2)/2
Note: please add parentheses so you don't cause confusion. x+3/3 is totally different from (x+3)/3

2(x+3) = 3(y+2)
2x+6 = 3y+6
2x=3y
x = 3y/2
x/3 = (3y/2)/3 = y/2
