The easieast way to deal with this problem is to double evey single quantity. Hence, we have that this is equal to 12yd, 18feet and 8 inches. However, we now have to check; 3 feet are one yard hence we have that 18 feet are equal to 6 yards. Thus, 12yards and 18 feet are equal to 18yards. Also, 12 inches are one foot; we do not have enough inches there and the inch component stays the same. Hence, the answer is that the distance is now 18 yards and 8 inches.
