resultant force in W direction
=1680sin40deg + 1250sin60deg
=2162.415

resultant force in N direction
=1680cos40deg - 1250cos60deg
=661.955

magnitude of resultant force = sqrt(2162.315^2 + 661.955^2)
=2261.37

direction of resultant force = arctan(2162.315/661.955)
=73.0

x-components = 1680sin40 + 1250sin60 = 2162.32kg

y-components = 1680cos40 - 1250cos60 = 661.96kg

resultant force = | x-components + y-components | = 2261.37kg

direction is tan^-1(2162.32/661.96) = N 73deg. W
