Could someone explain to me how to find the unit value for something?

unit cost would be found by dividing the amount spent ( total cost) by the quantity of items bought.

 for example if you bought 5 apples for 10 dollars
 the unit cost of the apple is 10 / 5 = 2 dollars per apple
